 To celebrate the season of goodwill our chefs have created a special Christmas menu,
which will be available to all our guests from Wednesday 1st December. We will be serving food between 12 midday and 10pm, but have an extended licence until 1am during December, so you can enjoy the atmosphere for longer!
Homemade cream of celeriac soup with white truffle oil, wild mushrooms and chives Potted duck with pistachios, plum and brandy jam and walnut bread Goats cheese and roast shallots in puff pastry with fresh rocket and a balsamic glaze Smoked salmon and Atlantic prawn salad with new potatoes and honey, mustard and dill dressing Pan seared chicken livers with Marsala sauce and sweet figs on toasted brioche Roast local turkey breast with a cranberry glaze, roast potatoes, homemade stuffing, vegetables and sausages wrapped in bacon Braised lamb shank served with sweet potato and coriander mash and red currant and thyme sauce Roast butternut squash and smoked apple wood cheese quiche with new potato and cranberry salad Pan fried monkfish fillet with fondant potatoes, spinach, roasted baby leeks and champagne and cardamom sauce Local roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, braised red cabbage and roast potatoes with red wine sauce Homemade Christmas pudding with brandy anglaise Lemon cured crème brulee with lavender short bread Chocolate and morello cherry torte served with hazelnut cream Warm Bramley apple pie, crème anglaise and cinnamon ice cream Red Lion Farm ice cream selection served in a brandy snap basket Cheese board and biscuits Coffee or tea and chocolates
